He was pretty woeful in his last two bids to be leader, but he's the best of a seriously bad bunch.

Sadiq KHAN is doing his best to stay relevant.

I can't think of anyone other than Burnham to unite the current shambles and at least try and oppose the government.

The photo is thing is a bit of a stupid pick up from right wing American politics. Neither the UK or US has any issues with voter fraud to warrant a change.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I'm saving that one.

Tories on track to take 399 seats in next general election
It comes as Diane Abbott says losing the Batley and Spen by-election would mean "curtains" for Sir Keir Starmer.

lol

Re: Khan in election trouble
People who are 65 are still of working age, the notion that a significant number are old biddies who don't have any photo ID is bollocks. You need to be looking closer to 80 year before you start getting significant numbers without photo ID.

Lee i wasn't talking about postal voters that seemed to.be Rios concern. I was addressing the point made on TV news that there was an issue with older voters. (Specifically over 65s).

Then maybe a better analysis would be one of postal voter age against location?

I thought that one of the main issues was whole communities applying for postal voting, then handing their papers over to one person to complete and send off.

In any case, I'd be happy for photo ID to be introduced if it helped prevent somebody voting as "me" before I'd even got the chance to decide what I wanted for breakfast in the morning.

Labour voters make up most of the postal voters, according to that. Its a few years old, though.

I was talking about older voters being more likely to vote Tory
Re the postal voters i was saying that in response to.Rios concerns in the subject. I don't know if they will make it harder, he seemed concerned there was an issue with it.

Re: Khan in election trouble
Only one way to find out. Just have to wait to the relevant election and compare turnout and numbers turned away.

Absolutely no sense in hypothesising lots of what if scenarios and then not trying it out on the basis of that. That'd just be stupid.

Re: Khan in election trouble
What evidence do you have for;

a) Rules making postal voting harder?
b) Postal voters being traditionally Tory voting?
